So, who's up for it???? I'm thinking early April, so we don't get into the Easter thing again... This of course will be water crossing dependent.

I should be home from the South around the first week of March, so I'll have some time to knock the cobbwebs of of GB, and hopfully get the winch installed... :D and go take a look at the creek....

Who's going with me!!!!!!!!!??????

god willing and if the creeks don't rise (in this case the river), I'll be there :hillbilly:

No probably about it. I am SO in. Oven and all.:D

Russ, how do you feel about bringing some oysters??? :D

Kief, you have to make one.... and as I said, the road is paved till 1/4 mile from camp, you don't have to bring a Toy if you don't want to...

Tom, I don't think there's much snow up in the mountains right now... or so I've heard....

Russ, how do you feel about bringing some oysters??? :D

OH Baby!! Giddy-yup.
If no one noticed, Easter Sunday is the SECOND weekend in April. So........

p.s. Keif, it's about time my friend. Looking forward.:steer:

Hmmm second week in April you say? I thought we went in late march last year, and it was Easter??? Ok, just checked, late April last year...

Soooooooooo I'm going to say Mining Claim on the weekend of April 20-22, and we'll hope for good weather, and a decent water depth... :D

That is assuming that we'll be wrenching the weekend of the 28-29???????

How serious of a truck do you need for this?

Depends heavily on the amount of water and your skill as a driver. Take the running boards off and have a tow hitch, and you'd probably be fine in your locked 80. 35's on an mildly lifted 80 make it extremely easy. You might take some rocker damage or need to stack rocks (not exactly fun in the middle of a cold creek), but even if you got stopped in the middle of the creek you wouldn't need to worry about hydro locking or flooding the cab.

I would do it in my wife's truck (33's and no lift) as long as the creek wasn't running hard.

There should be a good selection of straps to attend also....oh and a winch too, maybe.(must remember winch):D
Well worth the effort if for nothing else but the fresh oysters and freshly baked goods. :hmm:

It all depends on the water level... we got a stock 40 stuck pretty good last year in waist deep water, but managed to get it through without too much damage. But that's part of the adventure! :D You're more than welcome to come down!

What do you need for this trip? Offroad tag, etc...

Directions, camping stuff and a potty or shovel. Low key fun will ensue there after..:D
