Weird stereo grinding noise on my lx

Hey guys, truck has 77k miles on it. The stereo is making a weird grinding noise. Kinda like it’s trying to shuffle a cd or something. Thoughts? I have the video but can’t post it.

Is it all the time, or only when the stereo is on? Do you hear it through the speakers, or just in the dash? Which sound system? Has anyone else on Mud had this problem from your searches? Do you have kids that may have stuck something in the slot? Are there CDs in there?

It’s a lx570. Sound not coming from speakers. DVD player works. I’ve done the searches, and couldn’t find the problem. How can I post a video?

A common culprit is the amp. Is the sound definitely coming from the head unit, not under the drivers seat?

It sounds mechanical. Like a cd is trying to eject.

Noise is coming from area of center console. Is the DVD player for the maps in that area? Maybe under the seat?

I'm not sure whether the head unit on the LX has a fan (I belive it does), but if it does, that could be the culprit.
