My wifes 1999 LX 470 blinkers are acting weird!
The left turn signal works fine, but when you turn the right blinker on, the blinkers flash as they should and the right parking lights flash as well.
From the outside now both right rear blinker and parking light flash, same as the front, right blinker and parking light now flash. Inside the car the right blinker on the dash is solid, it's not flashing it just stays on. I haven't done any goofing around with any wires on this vehicle in the past, so what should I check next?
Thanks
:flipoff2:

Sounds like trouble shooting is needed on the turn signal and hazard systems, including flasher and the combination meter at the steering wheel (turn signal switch). Electric problems can be challenging and may defy reason.

Thanks Pearl, just alittle more input, all exterior lights are working, I checked previous threads and the 7.5 amp fuse is good under dash!

1 Check trailer harness. (shorts, corrosion)

2 Water/leaks anywhere? Like under the windscreen?

3 Is there any difference in blinker behavior between parking lights off and on?

I would believe that you have lost the ground to your trailer harness.

Parking lights flashing

Not sure if this can happen on a 99 LX, but I have seen where a dual element bulb (turn signals/parking lights) fuses together making the parking lights flash when the turn signals are on. This also happens when a single element bulb 1156 is installed where a 1157 dual element bulb is required. The single element contact connects to both contacts creating the same situation. Might check the bulb, very easy fix.

There are TSIBs on strange electrical problems such as you indicate coming from two locations - the junction box on the drivers side -kick panel - and the other is the combination switch - if the junction box did not solve. Under warranty I believe Lexus will replace the juntion box with a new one, but some have indicated that all that is needed is to clean it - apparently metal fragments got into some and worked their way to a position where they short out some circuits.

Check the Lexus Owners site for some posts experiences and on the TSIBs.
