you might, but not in my neck of the woods.

was on the 101 last night at ray rd at 9:00, came down so hard cars were pulling off cause they couldn't see the road, only lasted about 10 minutes though.

Rain??

Slept right through it.:meh:

bleh... :frown: heard the rain late last night/early this AM in the e. valley, not much since then though. Looks like Lake Roosevelt, Tonto creek up through Pason took the brunt of it.

Meh

A couple of rain gauges on Mt. Lemmon are reading 1"+

Not much here on NW side of town..

Nor much on my side - East, by DMAFB. Felt kinda cheated after Rex's great photos.

We got nailed yesterday at the UofA. I had to got across campus during the middle of it. Some of the sidewalks and lawns were ankle deep water and deeper around some of the streets.

By the time I got to where I was going it mostly stopped. By the time my meeting was over and hour or so later the sidewalks were well on their way to being dry.

We gonna get wet?

The answer would be, yes! What a crazy lunch!

So, I'm at Costco, shocker, about finished and it starts drumming, people start asking what is that? Pretty funny that it rains so infrequently that people don't recognize it!:hillbilly:

Anyway get to the door and it is raining pretty good, so hang on the patio outside with some others waiting for it to slow. But it starts blowing/raining harder, the orange plastic poles that the use out front, go whizzing by, then a constant train of very fast shopping carts! It is really blowing/raining now, can't see the first row of parked cars. A couple of huge pieces of metal blow off of the roof, one nails the new demo Acura parked on the patio, not 10' from us, puts a big dent in the rear quarter and roof, instant used car.:o:D

One of the guys jokes, next it going to be trees, not 10 seconds later a tree goes whizzing by followed by more. The wind slows and hail starts, pouring, nickel/quarter size stuff. The the wind comes back from the other direction, hail is replaced by again pouring rain. All of the junk, carts, signs, trees go whizzing by in the other direction.:hillbilly:

It slows enough that we can somewhat see and there are two cars stuck right in front of the store, carts, trees piled around them. A few of us pull the stuff away so they can move and I get my first glimpse of my rig with a tree on top of it. Several of us are helping clear the lot enough so people can leave, carts in jumbled piles, 3 high, mixed with debris. One of the employees asks why we are helping, I say, because I'm going to need help getting the tree off of my truck, point at it and the tree rolls off the back of it, partly onto the Honda parked next to me!:hillbilly:

By now have pretty much sucked my soda dry, go in to refill, the in door is closed, no power. The greeter gives permission to get a refill, if it will work without power. There are still bunches of people in the deli area, eating, waiting for the storm to end. The soda machine works, walk past the eating area on the way out and get hit by a huge spray of water, soaked people are screaming, food floating, etc. The roof apparently had been holding a jacuzzi size pond of water, gave away and dumped on the tables. Lots of soaked people/stuff, but no injuries.

Back at the truck and all of the low areas of the parking lot had deep water, over the tires, half way up the doors of small cars. Likely a bunch of totals, huge mess. No damage to my rig, or none that I can tell, it's kinda hard to tell old scratches from new ones? Big fun, but not your typical lunch!:hillbilly:

I made my daughter ride home from school on her bike....:lol: I did meet her at the garage with a dry towel... :grinpimp: I think I'm up for Dad-o-the-year... Trees uprooted all over. My bro in the town traffic dept should have some stories to tell tonight.
