Yesterday I washed my car. This am I can hear water sloshing around the bottom of the car...the mats aren't wet but I can hear it when I stop or start. I know LC can have drainage probs...can someone please tell me how to drain the water? Pics would be helpful...as I don't know my way around the undercarriage of any car....but I am trainable. Thanks in advance.

There are issues with the sunroof drains getting plugged. There are 2 holes (one on each side) near the front of the sunroof, which can be seen when the sunroof is open. Sometimes these get filled with dead leaves and such. The tubes run down the A-pillar and drain below the front doors from the back side of the rocker panels (on the body directly below the drive and passenger door bottom). There should be small rubber plugs that you can pull and drain the water. If you search sunroof and drain on here, you should find many threads with pictures.

Ahhhh....thank you. Didn't know what terms to search for. Plugs...got it.

I've also had some sloshing/gurgling noises coming from my AC unit, which is just behind the glove box that I would notice when I started the truck or turned it off. That was due to a clogged AC evaporator drain tube. I don't think that is your problem though. I've had a windshield seal leak too, but that would be noticed by water near your feet and/or abnormally fogged windows all the time.

Check your rockers, there are like four plugs along the bottom of the rockers, what you could do is get in the car and gas it and slam the brakes if you hear some sloshing pull those plugs and drive around for a few minutes then replace the plugs. I did this and got rid of like 3 gallons of water!

Need to make some lexan rockers so you could have a couple fish tanks there instead....

I got the drains out and a ton of water poured out. I couldn't see the pics in the faq thread so I didn't try cleaning the drains ...mainly because I'm not sure what they look like. But thanks for the help with the drains...at least I'm not sloshing anymore!
