has anyone replaced solenoids with contactors on a 24v winch? If you did, can you share your contactor source? TIA!

PS: the previous owner ran the power cable from the winch to the starter, not the battery (this is a rear winch; the front winch draws power from the battery). Electrical gurus, what do you think about that?

always straight to the battery both pos and neg.

Installed and the little relay for the wireless remote worked for s***. We wired the original Warn plug for the wired Warn remote and it works great!
