i had no issues at all putting an m15000 in my arb on fat bastard. no spacers, just bolt right up.
Yep, same result (no spacers) both with a M8K in my 450, and the M12K in the black 80. Both were standard ARB bumpers.
The pic
@fantic posted is 180* opposite how I did mine (doesn't seem to matter, different but neither is wrong as I can guess).
Looking @ my winch the motor is on the right, planetary/ engage end on left.
I'm left-handed, so I set it up that way - if I was a rightie I'd set up like fantic did.
As for the solenoid box mounting on the motor case, The back of the solenoid baseplate has/had 2 pedestal feet with curving bases that match the motor OD.
If they are still that way, you can buy 2) ~5 1/2" hoseclamps & band it down.
For winding synth, I just 2-man it with my Dad sitting in the cab. He runs winch & idles the 80 in N with enough brakes to wind the rope tight while I am outside with the rope just simple grab to any real anchor(tree).
Once I get 4 good wraps on the drum from the anchor crimp, all tightly & neatly stacked then I let Dad really brake short of lockup while I am grabbing the belly of the line to guide it back & forth on the drum.
Between simply winding it perfect from the base & using the brakes at near lock with winch pulling the 80, it winds tight enough I never have had the line bury itself in the spool & I've used this method 10x (guess, between the 2 80's & 8+ yrs on both) since I wash the rope whenever I really get it muddy.
That Warn line is a little different than how Masterpull sends it to us if you buy as aftermarket.
Your line if it's the same stuff as a Zeon is grey rope w/ a red outer guard down at the base, seems like 'grip enhancer' to me - Masterpull is just a crimp ring terminal to that bolt on the spool.
I've not yet spooled the Zeon if you want a pic of red- I looked & the thimble is the opposite end(rope still in bag). Still saving the $$ for the Tundra bumper.
