My father-in-law gave me this winch and bumper to put on my 4runner. I tore down the winch to inspect & clean everything and it was in serious need of some TLC lol. So I ordered the new parts I needed and used a friends bead blast cabinet to clean everything up. I now have it all back together and it will spool in and out by remote and freewheel works. The only concern I have is on the brake. The ratchet wheel in the middle has a good bit of wiggle to it. I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to operate until it gets a load to operate the brake or not. If anybody has any information on this it would be greatly appreciated.
