I just ripped into my Warn 8274 to find that the pinion cam gear (PN 7732) is stripped. Anybody got parts or pieces laying around?

Hmmmmm.....Crickets...

Okay I guess I'll start looking for new parts from Warn. I think the pinion and cam assembly is about $130. Upper and lower rebuild kits and brake kit will run another $200 or so. I guess $300 - $350 is a relatively small price to pay to have a fully functioning 8274 (not including my labor of course...we never include that). Besides, it was fun tearing that thing apart. What a great design and a novel concept...a unit that is actually simple, tough and totally rebuildable! So unlike most things these days. The 8274 is just so right for a 40.

I'm pretty sure I sent you a link to my rebuild thread. If not, let me know.

The guys down at Clemson 4 Wheel Center were great to work with. I think I ordered all my parts through them.

Let me know if I can be of any help.

I got one that i will let go. Call me for details

I got all my parts online to rebuild mine. Figured if I was opening it up I'd make it where it would last 30 more years without a thought. They are simple durable units that look just right on these age range trucks. I had my case powder coated and the whole thing looks brand new. Are you keeping the old style solenoids?...I did but they were pricey from Warn.
