cool truck, never seen a tub quite like it, looks like... well... a tub!

Yeah, yours pushed my insurance search forward with urgency, so it might be a little consolation that your misfortune helped someone?

Jeffxlh - all you have to do is say "the newt".. no need to post photos, that's one of the most famous Cruisers anywhere.... :grinpimp:

Thanks, yea the Newt. I picked it up three weeks ago and have had alot of fun with it. I was advised to try to insure it as a parade and show vehicle. I'll make some calls today.

show veh still have a lot of restrictions in the policy... Fact of the matter is you should still have a title with a VIN #.

he stated he does but to get it re-titled (i'm guessing into his name) he'd have to pay up on the taxes. IIRC that sold for a LOT of money so the taxes would be something equivelant to purchasing a corvette or simmilar

I made some phone calls last night and learned the same does apply now here in Texas. This is good news for me. I going to the title company at lunch. I'll let you know.

Wow... That sucks. In OR it's $59 no matter what the car is. ;p

Well I went to the title co. and they tell me I need a safety inspection before I can change the title over. I cant get a safety inspection without ins.......Heck I cant even get the Newt inspected, Bead locks , Hydrolic steer, 49's?
