Found this one locally, looking at the picture it's not "completely" rust free, but looks serviceable.

Didn't say where you are located, but might be worth a call.

We just three posts it was pretty easy to figure he is from the LA area. Has a 71 so besides the tire carrier he would need the cushion and catch for the latch

Just saw this in the classified section:

not sure if it is the later tube style you seek but worth a check.

You may consider posting in the classified section. You will probably get more responses there.

Reading the sellers posts here it's possible that is one off a 80 series since that is where he seems to post.

Not a bad idea about starting a thread in the classified section but reading the other posts and talking 35" he doesn't have a stock cruiser and might be better off going with a carrier that mount to rear frame crossmember. 4+ sells a beefed up crossmember that would support a rear carrier with larger tires. Contact LCWizard thru PM here on MUd. He makes the 4+ products in Miami, AZ

Way better idea than a stocker for a 35" tire.

Am I that easy to read . I was looking in to the 4+ and some others but the price is pretty steep. I thought I could get away with the original tubular design. I guess its better to do it right the first time.

Anyone have a used one I could take off they're hands?

Ask for a MUD discount. you'll get 15% off. I'm pretty sure you can get it bare steel cheaper. I saw a used stock tubular one on EBAY incomplete for 300+ dollars. Considering Specter wants 100.00 just for one "refurbished" hinge for that carrier..........

Awesome, 15% makes a big difference and I could powder coat it later.
Thanks for the help guys.

I rattle canned mine and it lasted fine. Plus I could touch it up every so often. If you just get the tire rack it's priced really well and you get a receiver.
