I'm looking for a nice family wheeler - cheap & reliable. I'm thinking a 60/62 with a small lift and lockers would be perfect. I'm in VA. Anyone have a nice TLC in need of a good home?

try "LRIWATER" I think thats his name, he had a 55 series and he's in VA I think.

Beagle Chariot is almost exactly what I'm looking for - but CA is far from VA ... 33s, lockers, OME, reliable, not rusty .... Anyone?

looks ok

I don't know much about the early 80's. It sure looks clean. I don't know how much, if any, difference there is with the "locking diffs" from year to year. The problem is that a lift will set you back $1500+, tires $1000+. Bumper $700+. Winch $750+, etc..... It is always cheaper to buy one with the goodies.

When it comes to the 80 sereies. I believe that you would want a 1994 or newer one. I'm pretty sure that is when they upgraded the engine and maybe the powertrain. I think the 1991 - 1993 use the FJ62 engine and tranny.

Jayhawk - what do you think of this? (not mine)

1991 Toyota Land Cruiser 4wd
