Hi Been Looking/Searching For A Company That Sells A high Output Alternator That Would Fit Right In Place Of My Stock Alt. Any One Have A Company Name Or Info,80 Amp,Don't cut it With Lights And Winch And Other Gear.I Guess I Need Someone Who Can Take A Stock Alt.And Hop It Up.My Stock Denso's Is Shot So Time To Up Date,With Whats Needed,Thanks Jim,

find a 90 amp alternator and bracket and call Boyle Future Technology- they Amped mine up too 165 amps output.

Try searching on ebay.

Just read a ton on DC's website, they don't list anything for LC's older than 1998. I read the thread posted above about them and they seem like a great company, but nothing about an application for a 3FE. I'm also looking, and am very curious.

I would call them directly, I bet they can make what you needed

Mean Green makes one but you need to make sure your get the FJ80 pulley not the FZJ80 one.

Go to a good alternator shop. One her got my 90 amp up to 120 amps. For me, that's plenty.

I have a Mean Green 140 amp on my FJ80. It is a little bigger than the stock alternator and the only thing that you need is a longer retaining bolt (1 inch longer I believe).

If you need a high output alt for a 3fe these are the guys to work with. I worked with Stan. They built mine to the spec I wanted using a new OEM case and a smaller pulley for more idle output. I run a lot of electrical accessories, including dual SPAL fans, an amplifier and an on board PC. Dual yellow tops with 1/0 wiring. ~25k miles and I have nothing but good things to say about this alt. That is not true for the other high output alt that I tried.

I'll try calling them. What was the damage on your new ALT if you don't mind my asking?

I don't remember exactly but it wasn't cheap. I want to say that it was in the 300-400 range, but that was probably 4 or 5 years ago. You'll probably pay around what a Mean Green would cost but from the mixed reviews that I've seen for Mean Green you'll probably get a better unit. It was also about the same price as the 175 amp Mechman alt that I previously had that used a Ford small case and adapters to fit the 3FE mounts. It would never stay tight and made it less than 10,000 miles.

That's better than what i was thinking. Everything listed seemed to be running $600+ and that scared me a bit. They look like an amazing product though!
