I am walking on September 25th and raising money to support the fight against diabetes. I have family members and friends who live with this daily and I am doing my part to support them. If you have family or friends that live with the same fight each day and would like to do your part, please click on the link to submit a donation. There is no donation too small, every bit adds up.

You can click on any of the links in the header for more information or to join if you would like to walk.

I hope I am not out of line for posting this, I have seen the attacks from blood sugar problems and the first time I experienced it I have to admit I was scared because I had no idea what to do.
Thank you
Tony

A good cause for sure Tony, my fathers side of the family has it and he lives with it every day but must manage it with medication and diet.

Thanks Eric, I work at Medtronic and one of our many products we design is a glucose pump. I got my father-in-law and my buddy that plays soccer multiple days a week to get one and they both love it. The development of the glucose pump was a direct result of fund raisers like the walk I am doing. The more we know about it the better we can treat it.

You ought to have your father talk to his doctor about a Medtronic pump and see if it is for his life style.

That would be an insulin pump, Tony. They are typically used only for type 1 diabetics. Type 1s are only about 10% of all diabetics.

I guess that is why I am a designer and not in marketing.

did you mean in medicine ?

Negative, I meant marketing because obviously I do not know enough about the products I design. All I know are the requirements of the electronics I am designing. I could never be in marketing, I would miss design waaay to much. ;-)

Just wanted to bump this to the top, the event is this weekend. The donation form on the link above has all money going to the fund to fight this desease. No donation is too small. Thanks

The walk is tomorrow and no donation is a small donation. All proceeds are tax deductible.

Link the the first post.
