I don't think they thought or even tried to out designed Apple, Goggle or Android. They integrated Apple Car Play and Android Auto into models like the RX, UX, LS, ES, RC and GX during their mid cycle refresh and came to the conclusion basic integration was not good enough. So they established a new division to created the new system incorporating Apple, Goggle and Android which is very different including over air updates with the ability to evolve as technology changes. I agree that Lexus/Toyota was way behind other companies which was frustrating but didn't effect our sales. We have a local company that adds Apple Car play into older LX's, GX's and the RX
I’ve followed the threads on the aftermarket CarPlay adds and while they work there are quirks.

I put down a deposit with my dealer in January. Passed on a few he offered that were wrong color. Finally agreed on a white F sport that should be here in about two months. Got the window sticker and VIN today with options.
I will be interested to get your thoughts.

It is nice but feels too carish vs truck. Not a fan of cockpit feel.

It’s for my fiancé. I’m sure she will like it. I do think she is going to need some more aggressive tires though for where we live. Our road is 4x4 only about 30 percent out of the year. There seem to be slim options in the 22 inch wheels. The 20 inch wheels don’t look that great. Maybe. We will see.

Everytime I think, I don’t mind the way my white luxury trim looks, I see an F-sport and am reminded how good it could look…

Spoke with my sales guy from the dealership yesterday regarding my fsport order I placed a deposit on Dec 31st, 2021. I am still around 63rd in line and have 5 to 7 in front of me with the colorways I selected / preferred. He mentioned a delay in the builds due to a safety issue, factory is closed for 2 weeks in June for holiday ? and due to fuel effeciency standards for all Lexus vehicles it is pushing the lx600 back. They got about 10 cars per month early this year and then went way down to 2 or so. Looks like I might get into the 2023 model at this pace. Probably looking like a winter delivery December or early next year. Was initially hoping for delivery this summer....not looking good. I have an order for a 2023 Sequoia, capstone (I am 3rd in line with no deposit required) so I might just go with which ever one arrives first. Probably the Sequoia if I really love it. When does Lexus switch over to the 2023 model year on the LX 600 ?

I have passed a couple of these rigs lately and they are very sharp when "In Motion"...

Definitely a tighter look than the 200 series/ LX570, and a stumpier butt... LOL

I thought it was September?

In St. Louis and have been discussing for 2 months on LX600 availability. They had been noncommittal about timing, and even about a deposit to get one until today, when they finally told me they would take a non refundable deposit, but that now its not a matter of a couple months wait but that it might be a 2 year wait for the proper allocation! I have told them an eminent white pearl / white - peppercorn interior luxury model with AHC, so nothing crazy set up wise.

The big questions are:
Anyone else hearing wait times of this magnitude?
If not, then what timing is expected?
Are there any set ups that are going to be more common and quicker to the market?

thanks
Any luck or results yet? Which Lexus Dealer in STL? Just curious. I have bought a lot of Toyotas from Mungenast Alton Toyota include my 18 TLC. The wife and I have been talking about putting money done on a LX600 Luxury with appearance package, AHC, and 18 in wheel option. I feel like it could be a long wait for something like that....

Although I just got our 2022 Rav4 Prime that we ordered 16 months ago. IDK, I think waiting might be the norm for awhile. Even pasted on a few Rav4s that weren't exactly what we wanted color, package, and options wise. The dealer (or sales people) did try to scary / threaten me with losing my place in line to other preorders. But I knew what I wanted and it wasn't those. The reason I say tried to scary me.....is that they let me keep my place in line and when I what I wanted showed up I went in right away and bought it. The good thing about waiting on the Rav4 Prime is that we actually got a 22 instead of a 21 were a few options had changed for the better.

IDK about everyone else, Id rather wait for what I want than take something I don't, especially now that we are talking over 100K. But I am probably not the typical Lexus customer...... or even car buying customer at all for that matter.

Naa, sounds like me. I could afford to wait, didn't have to "have one now," and knew what I wanted. I did have a range of preferences (silver, charcoal gray, white exterior; premium or base; tan or black interior), and my only absolute was that it didn't have AHC.

Yeah actually same on color....I have a couple Id got for. TBH.....the Nori Green is growing on me, and normally that's not me at all. All my Land Cruisers have been white or silver.

I have never had AHC and kind of wanted to test it for more ground clearance of the bad bumpers. I don't do crazy off roading usually, but do go to the mountains and other places. I certain don't shy from going off the pavement.

IDK though.....still watching tons of videos and doing research.

I've had AHC. It's ok, but for $10k less, the base model suspension is excellent. Didn't really like the F-sport suspension tuning with AHC, really like this one.

I picked up my LX a few days ago. When I put my deposit down, shortly after the announcement, I was told I was #8 on the list. I'm in Western NY and paid sticker and they were very generous with my trade.

So far, I'm happy with decision to trade the 2016 LC in for it.

Nice. Which version did you get?

It's a Premium, non ACH with the appearance package. Black with tan/black interior. Unfortunately it came with the 20" rims not the 18"s. I'm currently debating whether to get the 18" rims now from lexus at $2,200 plus tires or wait for a nice lift kit to come out and do it all then.

I'd vote wait. Hoping icon comes out with one that incorporates their electronically controlled shocks in addition to some focused geometry.

Do you mind saying what you got for trade?
Understand if you do.

From my understanding the order banks for the Sequoia have not yet opened so it'd be hard to have an order in for one. We are on a list to place an order when they do open but there are no PO's for them yet outside of whatever initial launch stock vehicles dealers get to sell at what I am sure will be a healthy markup. It sounds like you're on the list at West Side Lexus as those are the numbers they've been telling us for quite some time now. I am not sold on the new LX for the money, we liked our 570 but we didn't "love" it. It's going to be hard to beat the Capstone Sequoia loaded out at $80K in comparison.
