Steve C I think you are right. Think Toyota was forced based on HP numbers the other brands are putting out. I'm sure Toyota is doing it right so it will not affect dependablity.
 
Got some feedback from someone with an 2005 Tundra running the VVT motor. He just traded in his 2002 Tundra after selling the TRD Supercharger and fuel mods. He says the VVT motor pulls just about as hard as the Supercharged 4.7 did without all the hassle of tuning etc. He can't wait to do a few mods such as header, exhaust, and computer stuff.

I'm looking forward to the 5.5 VVT motor. Wonder if it will be standard, or will they keep the 4.7 as well?
 
Just read on another site (Club Lexus) that the LX470 will debut the VVTI this June as a 2006 model with a slight front design modification, supposedly to break away from the boxiness and be inline with the Tundra/Tacoma styling. Surely the LC is not going down this path???

JJBODEAN, heard anything to substantiate the front re-design rumor?
