To add to this interesting combo. I get the "Check VSC System" error when I try to move into 4LO. This also throws the amber warning, abs, vsc, and blinking 4LO lights. Again, when I restart the truck the lights are gone.

I get all the same lights...but it’s just evap codes. I’ve even changed my charcoal canister...but eventually it came back.
The most predictable time is the morning after I fill up. I think it may be related to pressure changes due to temperature changes. Because once I clear the codes afyer the initial morning tendency after fill-up...it doesn’t usually return until the next cycle of fill...overnight...startup/codes/clear.
The good news is that clearing the codes gets you back to full, normal operation. ;Lo...VSC...all the other weird light are gone and all is right with the world.
By the way...a number of us have been seeing this ever since a group Moab trip...and for several of us...never until after that trip. It’s as though similar conditions fouled some deeply buried thing that has basically zero effect except that the computer’s reporting of the error—then shuts systems down (like ability to go into 4Lo, etc.
Get a cheap OBDII and keep it handy.
I’ve even wired an extension cable with an in-line on/off switch so I can keep my code clearer plugged in 24/7. If it pops up...I literally takes me about 12-15 seconds to quickly turn on...scan...and clear...then all good.
It’s annoying, but not disabling.

Count me in! I saw the dreaded lights on Saturday trip. Switching the engine on and off didn´t help, so I disconnected both batteries for 15 minutes and here we go, no problem. Contributing factors might have been heavy rain and unexpected slide on a roundabout that triggered VSD. Maybe on of the ABS sensors is not working properly, I will have it checked. Meanwhile I am ordering some OBD2 BT dongle.
Sorry to resurrect, but just did my water pump and I've got the same veritable Christmas tree going as described on here.

I just got the same issue this morning....I disabled my battery and will report back on whether the dash lights will clear.
Mine persisted through two power cycles of the vehicle (didn't remove the battery). Codes "disappeared" on the third power cycle a day or two later and never came back. No stored codes either when I used my OBD reader a couple days after that. None a week ago when I coded a couple things. I'll call that solved at least on my end, until it proves itself otherwise lol. Think others have achieved the same ends but just clearing the codes when they get them instead of turning the car on and off an ambiguous number of times.
I'm happy to report the lights are now gone.

New update, lights came on again....tranny could downshift to 1st but would not get out of 2nd gear. I stopped the car, disabled battery and everything is normal again.

Well this happened to me yesterday. New(to me) vehicle. All signs point to my LX having never ever been put into L4(2 owner, both older women). I knew there was a possibility the solenoid or actuator or whatever would stick. Going into L4 everything was good. Switching back to H4 the dash lit up( no cel). I disconnected battery and after a few key cycles, the lights went away. Will exercise L4 and center diff regularly after it warms up a bit around here.

Bought an ‘09 LX 5 days ago. 137k. Lights came on this morning. Checked gas cap and it was loose by a ~1/3 turn. Thank you, dealership. OBD reader is on loan. I’ll check when I get that back.
when y’all reset codes, do you have the car on with engine off (IE radio/windows/AC active), or do you have the engine on? I’ve always done the former on the hundy, though some previous comments here less me to believe engine could be on. I have a LELink Bluetooth OBD reader and use OBD Fusion iPhone app.

This thread deserves to stay alive, so I’m posting my cause of this error. I have an 2008 200 bought ‘new’ in 2010 with 6k miles on it. I’ve driven it over 100k miles and I’ve not seen this… until now.
A few days ago I drove to work with a lot on my mind and running late for a meeting. I showed up just after 8am and returned to my ‘truck’ around 4pm… to find that I had left it idling for eight hours! It had burned through about 1/4 to 3/8-tankful of fuel. I got in and drove home with no issues.
The next time I started it up two days later I had the same lit/flashing indicators reported by this esteemed group.
Reporting possible cause of long-time heating of some component. Tracks with above report of group off-roading, assuming lots of slow-speed and idling.

Brief update: The morning I first saw flashing indicator lights (yesterday) I drove about seven miles each way, remembering to turn my truck off at destination, as usual
. When I got home the warnings/codes persisted despite multiple restarts. Engine coolant looked a bit low, with empty reservoir.This morning I added 50:50 coolant to fill the system; about 1/2 gallon. Warnings persisted on restart. I drove a mile to a local car show. Upon re-start after the show… no flashing dash warnings.
I did not disconnect the battery since this started.
Hopefully I won’t see the issue again. Only time will tell.
Well, I've joined the club again LC 2008 with 183k mileage. This error just keeps coming back.
Instead of solving the issue the dealership tried to tell me they'd do me a favor and take it on a trade-in. Lol. I guess I'll just clear the code myself and ignore it like everyone else.

I have these codes.
P2441 - Secondary air injection system switching valve stuck closed bank 1
P2445 - secondary air injection system pump stuck off bank 1
Don't know if these codes have anything to do with the VSC.
