Was driving down the canyon last week when my flashing VSC light came on and beeped for a while. I slowed my speed thinking that I had tripped a sensor with a rock or something, when the truck suddenly pulled hard to the left. I controlled it and pulled over to check -- nothing obviously wrong with tires, pressure or visibly with the visible suspension parts. I feel that the VSC applied braking inappropriately and caused the temporary loss of control. The car drove fine after I pulled over (but I drove a lot slower).
The VSC has blinked and beeped like this a few times since a Moab trip (elephant hill) in May, but always resolved without incident. Anybody have this happen with the OME lift and 33's? Could this be a front differential problem? Help!

Thanks for the tip - I've read the entire thread and it sounds like Spike's issue was never fully resolved, though. I'll have to report back after the dealer takes a look at the truck. I hope that it is as simple as resetting the CPU.

Dealership found a steering wheel sensor bad - it was reading the wheel as turned all the way to the right. I just got it back, and we'll see if they were right.

Help some more!

Got the vehicle back 3 weeks ago after the steering wheel sensor was replaced. Seemed like it was running fine, but I had 2 episodes of VSC alarm while travelling on a twisty canyon road (dry asphalt) yesterday. The vehicle didn't lurch or turn on me, but I'm pretty convinced the problem isn't fixed. No problems same day on some rough rocks/ dirt. It seems to happen when I'm travelling uphill or downhill on switchbacks on dry pavement. The dealership had also noticed that the center differential was engaging a little "slowly", but didn't feel this had anything to do with it (nor do I). I'm a little frustrated.

Switchbacks?

Hmmm......I did experience VSC operating when it should not have only on one trip and only while turning hard. Before the trip I had my OME shocks replaced with new ones. When we got home it turned out one rear shock was not tightened and VSC somehow knew it. When cornering there must have been extra forces and VSC thought the thing was in trouble and it kicked in and slowed the truck. Tightened the shock and it's never happened since.

Anything loose maybe?

Been out for a few days - sorry. Nice thought, though. I'll check for loose shock. This began after a pretty aggressive offf-road rock climbing trip a few weeks after I installed my lift and diff drop. (First big trip). I'll let you know what I find.
