FWIW: Adding to the collective thread.
- Cause: New to me 2008 LX570 that had never had 4LO used.
- What I did to cause Christmas tree lights: Vehicle running > put into neutral > depressed toggle from 4Hi to 4Lo > Put toggle back to 4Hi > Turned off engine
- Code: C1268 - Transfer L4 Position Switch Circuit
- How to remove warning lights: Disconnect negative battery cable for 15+ mins
- How to clear code: Vehicle running > warning lights now gone > clear code option from OBD scanner
