I know I posted a couple months ago, but just wanted to confirm for posterity that the fluid cans purchased from Stevinson Toyota West in late 2021 was indeed good fluid.
Fast Forward to March: Hash Imports in Fishers, IN did a fantastic drain and fill for me. Used OEM fluid. $270 out the door. I think they said that they used 2-2.5L

That’s pretty good price… glad it worked out.
Curious if there was any noticeable difference on n ride quality before and after the ahc service? I’m a bit past the recommended 60k service interval but my truck has never been off road so can’t tell if it needs it. I’m gonna do it anyway but I don’t have it very high on the fleet of cruisers aggregated priority list.

Have you checked your reservoir and verify the oil color?
AHC is one of the most important systems in LX... since it doesn't cost much to flush the system, I think it's very important to change it accordingly.
Many people reported with improved ride quality after the fluid exchange.
Great question! I cannot comment on offroad ( I've never taken it off road), but I did put the LX 570 through it's paces through the round-abouts in sport, comfort, and normal road and I could not tell a difference. I did push it on the interstate to 100mph and it was rock solid.
This is the AHC fluid on at 2013 LX 570 with 130K and never having been changed. A bit of sediment and discoloration, but not completely inundated with sediment. Notice how it doesn't look so bad when seen on the side view. Nevertheless, it was probably just a matter of time before there was some element of failure.
It’s too bad the moved the reservoir to the back of the truck. On the 100 it was in the engine bay. I’m guessing they moved it because it could be mistaken as brake fluid reservoir, power steering, or wiper fluid.
Point is, it was easy access. Ahc low and a Turkey baister and you could cheaply and easily pull out a lot of fluid.

Wanted to revive this thread and say that Lexus of Greenwood Village appears to have done this service correctly for $275. I say appears because in the video they sent I saw that they at the very least were extracting ahc fluid from the reservoir behind the back passenger wheel, and I was charged for 2x 2.5l of fluid. I did check the bleed valves before and after at all four corners to see if they looked like they had been touched, but the dealer also ran my car through the wash so the whole underside looked cleaner after and made it hard for me to tell.
Ride is.... Better? Might be in my head. I was not experiencing any issues before but I was at 75k with no record of it being done so this was preventative.
Also wanted to note 0 change in times between height settings. In my prior messing around I have seen multiple second changes in times between heights when it is simply warmer/colder out so this was more just a check to make sure they didn't break it.

They'd lose the markup. Have a look at the price of accumulators and fluid on ebay and you'll understand.
I just ordered from Japan the hydraulic distributor/valve block at 360 EUR against the 2700+VAT asked by the dealer in Italy (Germany was even more expensive)
