Appears that the portion of the plastic bumper is retained to allow use of the washers, is that correct? Winch line/drum visibility is critical to spot a fouled or side loading of the drum this appears to be decent. The vertical slot next to the light bar slot is that the blinker location? Will this house the Warn Zeon winch with the controller installed? Ballpark weight with/without tube work?

I will be ready for this by mid March!

This is the factory bumper integration. Just cuts out part of the lower part of the bumper. More info to come, still have to fit it on the GX.

The price point will be similar to Blitz bumper for early GX460?

No, it’s going to be different.
1.) it’s like a mega blitz. Has additional protection that goes under the sides of the bumper
2.) we are leaning towards only making it in Aluminum because of the size.

Okay, you're beginning to make me want to sell my MetalTek bumper and get a Victory!

Excellent, my current Ironman weight is quite high.

I know our Ironman front bumpers aren't light but they are built well and provide extremely good protection to the front end. Just ask Utah about that haha.

Here is the 14-up front blitz prototype so far:

Hopefully the 10-13' front bumper hasnt been put on the backburner. Were still waiting!

No offense meant to the 10-13 GX owners, the 14 and up out sold them 2-1. If I was in the business of building products I'd be building parts for the ones that sold the most first.

Part of the reason why there are so many Taco and 4Runner parts, they out sell all GXs 10-1.

Wow! That really looks sharp!! 👍
Kudos to whoever your design engineer and CAD guy is! Do you use SoildWorks?

It didnt help that they deemed the GX unsafe back in 2010 when they released that video of it skidding around the turn. Honestly that was a selling point for me. I was stoked to see it do a full 4WD drift and not roll over on dry pavement. Im guessing they gave it a facelift to erase that "bad" image with a more lowered looking, road hugging, safe person hauler. I like that I own that version because not that many people will have them and it stays unique!

Why would we take offense? Pre face-lift was around for 3 years. Post face-lift models have been around for 8 years now. It's business.

Sale numbers are hardly the only factor though.

With the older GXs being cheaper, more people are willing to off road and abuse them and thus potentially a larger market for bumpers, presently. This is arguably a partial reason the 470 has more following than the 460, buy in price has more value.

Pre-facelifted GXs tend not to need a bumper just for off road clearance though, like the facelift does, so there’s a good argument for designing primarily facelift versions. Plus, as the facelift version comes down in price, the market will grow significantly, in time.

Both have several arguments for being a good platform to design bumper products for, mostly depends on company priorities; Immediate sales, long term sales, both and even their budget for R&D to handle making both.
