That compartment maybe is 2014-up? Anyone have a 2014 that they can verify my theory on?

Do you have ML sound?I have a 2018 and I have the same rear door panel.
I think it's stereo trim and not model year that determines if there is a door there or the speaker gill. That compartment maybe is 2014-up? Anyone have a 2014 that they can verify my theory on?

My 2012 with ML has the subwoofer in that location.

Looking at the pics of the molle panel, it looks like it would block access to this door if mounted on the driver side. Is that correct?

Can you get me a straight on side photo? I'm going to see if we can just modify the panel a little to clear the door.
Let me know if these work. I'd love to gain more storage, but don't want to give up other good storage in order to do that. I've got quite a bit of stuff in that compartment.

Brian, I ordered one this week and it'll go on my left (driver's) side. I think the door will open, but it won't swing free. The user will need to open, then lift, then remove.I spoke with Alex, our design engineer. He said he's pretty confident that it will still open with the panel installed. The panel sits off the panel, plus the area where the panel is sits back further than the sub woofer enclosure.
If you wanted to order it and try, I'm willing to work with you if there is an issue.
AND IN ALUMINUM!!!Very nice products at fair price, will order some later on for sure. Have you guys thought about a winch or low profile front bumper kit? I don’t need the massive bull bar.
