At Overland Expo East last year we heard from a ton of 100 Series/LX owners who are looking for more aftermarket support for their vehicles. So we decided to add one to the fleet and get started on engineering some product for it.

This is our 2003 hundred. After driving it for a while we kind of fell in love with it and totally understand why everyone loves them so much 😍

Mods are an OME lift (HD rear coils for the bumper that's coming,) Nitro Gear Upper control arms, Thorley stainless headers, high flow cats, and exhaust done by the PO, currently rocking the wheels and tires (Nitto G2s) it came with, added a USA Spec bluetooth module for our tunes, and we swapped the blown subwoofer driver for a cheap Pyle one on Amazon (thanks to this thread: How to: Replacing OEM Subwoofer in 3rd Row)

No pics of the suspension install really, but these arms are BEEF and should help us get our alignment back to spec. Tech Tip, if you are in the midwest you may want to order the cam bolts before you start the install. We had to cut ours out because salt on the roads sucks  Took a few days for our dealer to get em.

If any Yota in the fleet would look rad with a snorkel, it was the Land Cruiser. So we snagged one of the many options we found online and installed it. Well after taking a few dumb photos of it helping cool our video editing rig and DSLR

We don't tend to do a ton of deep water crossings, but being able to turn this intake backward when running in dusty desert conditions will be a welcome option.

A non-essential business shutdown order in Michigan kind of put a hitch in our giddyup, but we sent each member of our engineering team home with a vehicle and whatever tools they needed to keep the throttle pinned on product design.

Ryan took home the hundred and this Strike bumper prototype. It's one of the first products to be designed with the help of our new 3D scanner.

Technology is awesome ♥

Nice!! And welcome to MUD!
I have actually been following you guys on Instagram for a bit as I kinda want to get your molle center console pieces, but dread cutting/drilling into the stock stuff. I am thinking I am going to put some rivnuts into the plastic instead of just drilling in.
For the center console molle additions, anyone mentioned it or addition rubbing against their leg?

That would work well with the rivnuts, but you wouldn't be out anything just trying the sheet metal screws we supply first. I've removed mine and installed them a few times in the Tacoma without issue. I haven't heard anyone complain about them rubbing in the 100, but it kind of depends on what you put in them I would guess. I haven't done a long trip in ours yet, and that is when I tend to get restless and splay my legs out in all sorts of weird positions 🤣

Will this fit the LX470 as well?

All that still needs to be figured out.
Should as they are very similar vehicles. Main difference I have seen is that the 470 has a small "valence" under the grille, seeing as the grille is a part of the hood assembly.

We need to get our hands on a 470 for testing eventually. Just to be 100% sure there are no install issues.

Yeah I get you on that. I am a bigger guy, 6' 190lbs, with big legs so I tend to rub up against stuff. But like you said it depends on what you put on it and where. Main reason I have been wanting one is, like your photos, I need a banana holster there for my Banana Shield!

Would also be nice to have a mounting point to put a small flashlight, pen, spot for the BaoFeng UV-5R to go, etc. Nothing overly cluttered, just a bit extra storage for those quick access items.

Yeah, that's why I love mine. Radio, winch controller, tire gauge, etc. I usually keep the banana on my hip, but it's a nice option if we are wheeling all day in a remote location.

Yup and this is exactly why I would want as well.

The valence on the LX470 is the same shape as the piece under the grill on the 100. They interchange without issue, so an LC bumper will mount to an LX.

Also read the post about the rear bumper coming. Is that an in house item?

Welcome! My wife's entire family is from MI. My sister-in-law is from Kalamazoo. I spend a decent amount of time in the U.P. now as well. I'll definitely try to stop by next time I'm up there.

Quick questions regarding the snorkel - How did you clearance for the antenna? I've got one on the way and trying to think of creative ways to make it fit without destroying it...

It actually already had clearance. If yours doesn't a heat gun will work to shape a divit there.

Spy shot of the 100 series rear bumper. Similar features to our 4Runner version that's in production if you've seen that. Built-in steps are a concept that will need some work to make it to production. A lot of concerns about getting the powder to flow into those seams to keep from rusting.

Would there be an option to retain the OEM LX470 integrated hitch?
