VI Cruiser Pub Meet?

Seems like stuff is starting to open back up in preparation for a fourth covid wave this fall? Haha.

Now that most of us have had a jab, wondering if we should get a meet happening in the next couple weeks? Maybe outdoor patio somewhere.

Thinking a club wheeling trip should be planned too. Cowichan?

Post if you're interested in a Pub meet, and we'll try to find the most central location.

Thinking of who has good patios...I don't remember if the cobblestone does or not?

Sounds like it would be best to do this north of the 'hat' somewhere. I'm easy on location, but not familiar with good patio options up there. I just looked up the Cobblestone and did not see any info indicating they have a patio, but would be a great option if they do. Please share any suggestions you guys may have.

I'm free any evening except Mondays/Tuesdays the next two weeks. What days are best for you guys?

I'm back to work on friday, then I'm kindof in the weekend, early week section of my rotation for a while....as I count down to the next vacation

(work is what I endure between vacations)


I'll talk to swmbo about locations. She might have some ideas.

As long as COVID rules allow, I would think we'd start trying to have regular meetings. So hopefully you can catch a meeting in Aug.

That looks pretty good. I could call ahead to make sure it's all good for a small group.

I think it's roughly 1/2 way between Nanaimo and Victoria, so seems reasonable to me in terms of distance.

Just need to nail down a day. Will wait for a bit more input from everyone on when they're available.

I just realized that next week Thursday is Canada Day. This means traffic could really suck around that time as people take extended long weekends away. Or maybe not; thoughts?

I'm still free tomorrow and Friday this week. Thursday is now out for me. Should we just try to meet tomorrow, or is that too short a notice?

Meet at this point would be at CVI in Duncan. I can be a DD for anyone from Victoria wanting a couple pints and not worrying about driving. Assuming you're ok being in another vehicle.
