I am looking at getting the Gamiviti hood mount for my 200. Does anyone have positive or negative experiences with this mount? I run a Alucab Expedition 3 roof tent so I don't have any roof real estate to mount the antenna.
On a side note, with the hood mount are yall using a 3 db grounded or 2.4 db no ground antenna? Using race radios/business bad 150-157 mhz.

My setup with the Alu-Cab. I've ran the hood mount before and reception is not as good.

Does the Gamiviti hood mount fit a 200 properly? The pictures on their website only show it on a 100.

That is genius! What mount is that you're running? I can't tell if its in to the (frontrunner?) rack slot or just drilled in? That's the setup I'll likely go with. Thanks buddy.

I believe Paul from Equipt is running it on his. He is running a hood mount for sure but I thought I saw somewhere that it was the Gamiviti.

I believe it is a Comet RS-660U mount. That mount is designed to go around tubing but if you remove the opposite side you're left with a base that you can bolt into the top rail of the Frontrunner. No drilling required, just use an allen bolt/nut like any other Frontrunner accessory. The swivel allows the antenna to fold over to the right for garages.

The other bit of advice to give on the install is to run the small diameter coax to it (RG-58?). Slips easily under the weather seal around the rear door. I mounted my radio body to the plastic jack door, passenger rear. It allows me to swing out the radio quickly if needed for updates, etc. It also gives a short antenna path for minimal line loss. Mic and display head cables are snaked up the generous space in the passenger rocker panel.
