Those are great questions. The guy to email is Peter vollers, he is the guy running it. His email is pvollers@vermontoverland.com. He has been very informative. Can you copy me the email as I would like to have this info also. My email is reillycnd@gmail.com. Thanks,
Ed
Hi Daniel: All good questions. For fuel, yes, just one stop per day, but one stop will be plenty. You're likely to not use more than a half a tank of fuel each day. For each stage, we're structuring things so everyone arrives at camp between 5 and 8 pm if everything goes to plan and that includes time for the stops each day, so that leaves a 4 hour margin for error. All should be fine. Don't forget, at VOT, winning is finishing and, just like the original Camel Trophy, teamwork between the teams will be highly encouraged, honored and rewarded. So, if a team is having trouble, other teams will be there to help and get them going again. No problem at all with using VOT for personal causes and fundraising. Just be sure to be clear with your donors that they're not donating to VO or VOT, but to your personal cause. Yes, there are maps of the actual route, but only for VO staff. All participants will have trip books handed out the morning of that particular stage. All part of the fun and the challenge of the event! Thanks for the good questions!
This is what he said to those questions and I'm going to email a few other questions too.
Found another rig and co-drivers I think for our team. Just need to confirm a few other things.

What is your plan for getting your rig to Vermont?
I'm in NY...
Well there ya go.Driving them should help us with sponsors as they will get that exposer from the trip.

Your trip to the event will be an event in itself!
