We are team "super kag thang" named after an old guys car we uses to see when we were teenagers.
We will see you all there. Is you team made up of two cruisers?

This looks like it would be fun! I'll have to see if we could swing this with our sch. Hmmmm...

We are very excited to go on this trip. I long haul from Florida but the train will help out a lot. I haven't been to Vermont in about 30 years. We just need to get the trucks ready.

Ok so,after reading all the rules for the trip I have a few questions.
1. The daily fuel provision, is there only one? If so can you bring fuel cans for extra fuel?
2. How long should a day trip take? Since you have to be at camp by midnight and you start at 8, how long should one expect the actual trip to take if everything ran smoothly?
3. I see it was asked already but I wanted to be sure that there isn't a problem with using this as a way to raise support for a cause (i.e. getting people to commit money per mile you drive, etc.).
4. Is there a map of the actual route to look at and or an idea of the total miles this would be?

That's it for now, thanks!

I posted this on Expedition Portal as well, but thought you guys might know.

This is what he said to those questions and I'm going to email a few other questions too.
Hi Daniel: All good questions. For fuel, yes, just one stop per day, but one stop will be plenty. You're likely to not use more than a half a tank of fuel each day. For each stage, we're structuring things so everyone arrives at camp between 5 and 8 pm if everything goes to plan and that includes time for the stops each day, so that leaves a 4 hour margin for error. All should be fine. Don't forget, at VOT, winning is finishing and, just like the original Camel Trophy, teamwork between the teams will be highly encouraged, honored and rewarded. So, if a team is having trouble, other teams will be there to help and get them going again. No problem at all with using VOT for personal causes and fundraising. Just be sure to be clear with your donors that they're not donating to VO or VOT, but to your personal cause. Yes, there are maps of the actual route, but only for VO staff. All participants will have trip books handed out the morning of that particular stage. All part of the fun and the challenge of the event! Thanks for the good questions!

Found another rig and co-drivers I think for our team. Just need to confirm a few other things. :)

What is your plan for getting your rig to Vermont?

Unless we can we can find someone with a trailer and a good tow rig for two rigs the we would just have to drive up there. :( How about you, or are you pretty close?

I'm in NY...

Well there ya go. :D Driving them should help us with sponsors as they will get that exposer from the trip. ;)

Your trip to the event will be an event in itself!

I know right! I am working on a friend with a big diesel and then I need to find a goose neck trailer big enough for the 4th gen 4R and a Lexus LX. :o

Team Adventure Copán is registered!

We have some great guys on our team and our rigs are two capable T4R's. We are excited to be doing this to raise money to feed and buy Christmas presents for the poorest children this year in Honduras where our missions based company is located.

Thank you for putting this together!
