Vermont Fall Run

Dave and I are planning on hosting a run on the weekend of October 17-18th. It can be either day depending on who is coming. We will meet in Woodstock at 9am and roll at 9:30. We will travel pavement up to Barnard (Kina's old backyard) and ride mostly class 4 (same as NH class 6) and some pavement, through Stockbridge,Bridgewater with an early afternoon lunch at the Long Trail Brewery then more Bridgewater, Plymouth and Reading. The route will be lower intermediate and will bring us up to some mountain tops with some nice views. We will travel about 50 miles with about 35 of them on unmaintained roads and trails.
This ride will require 33's with some lift and is very 80 freindly. You can camp at my house if you like and there is a possibility of a second day of wheeling (intermediate) if there is interest. Gary & Dave

UPDATE This will be run on Saturday with the possibility of a shorter run (or runs) on Sunday

Dave and I are going to run the trails on saturday and will report back on how muddy they are

I would be interested in a Sunday run, We will be in Vermont already, I could probably convince ye ole lady to camp out and join you.

Though I can do either, I think Sunday actually works a bit better for me as well.

if it's a Sunday I probably won't make it. Too long a drive home and there is always a possibility of a problem and with out a day after wheeling to deal with it getting home on time is almost impossible.

This sounds like a lot of fun and I would love to do this but I really won't know if I can until it gets closer.
Are you going to cap this on how many rigs can go?

Expressing interest. Currently scheduled to work that weekend, but can most likely get a swap. Never wheeled in VT.

UPDATE: 9/13/09 swapped duty weekends so we are good to go.

I will have my top back on by then, so it should be a warm and comfortable ride. I would like to see that area. It is all based on damage control after "Gretchens".

Hey gang,

Just got off the phone with Gary and we are wicked excited to host folks up here on the 17th (and maybe the 18th as well).

We'll be meeting in beautiful Woodstock VT and traveling about 60 miles of trails and roads all around the area. We'll plan to have lunch at Long Trail Brewery in Woodstock as well.

We can also pull together a run on the NH side of the river for Sunday if there is enough interest.

Please post up as you firm up your plans so we can start to get an idea of how many people and when.
