Come on Al.....

Pulling for you here in Indiana

Crank up the dancehall tunes and get Jer skankin'

It's Cinco De Mayo and the shark tacos go on the grill @ 6:30 pm here

We just took a break and went and got some veggy and shrimp burritos, I feel more like taking a nap in this heat more than anything right now. There is some good reggae down the street, makes working easier.

And Kina its getting there buddy, wish you were making it to tellico this year...

I know I haven't posted on this thread but have been watching it closely. I think you and Jer need to set up a live web came of your yard atleast a new pic every 10 minutes or so. would be cool to see the time lapse of the build.

Ill grab some pics tomorrow... Got the rebuilt t-case in today, the hydro assist is in, and the beefest wrap bar cross memeber is tacked in place. Tomorrow we are gonna finish the floor and the track bar....

Its starting to look like we are not going to get the roof exo bars done. But there is about 25 more feet of tube that needs to go on the rear cage and that will get done come hell or high water...

Butt load of other stuff to do,,,,all of it being a must, so the exo might not get done. That just means I can flop it but I cant roll it.

Thanks for the good words man,
-Al

lookin good surfer boy you gota bring it to round up nexted year

Thanks man,

I live in Saint Augustine a little south of Ga's border. Very cool man, We leave friday the 11th. You making it to Tellico?

I wish my wife and I were making it...I've ordered some 4.88s and sliders, but they won't be here until after. Lame I know, but I want to be prepared when I go up there. We'll definitely be there in 08.

Nice build...give us some more pics.

update: from a walking zombie...

3 14 hour days and many late nights before that has taken its tole. I have tonight and wednesday to button everything else up and there is still much to do. Majors on the list are finishing the rear cage and track bar.

The front exo, and lo-profile roof rack are not getting done, along with a new t-case slider. ( I lost my last one after I swapped to an fj62 frame about a month ago.)

We got a decent amount of work done aside from it hailing on us and with a constant 30 mph wind yesterday..

Pics are a coming just been too busy to get the camera...Be getting up at 8 and have been cleanin up at 10 or 11 every night...

As for the canvas, It just depends on if I get it back in time from the person who is stiching it up.

from a walking zombie,

Worked til midnight last night, would have kept going but the cops stopped by for a little visit to tell us to keep the noise down. Today is going to be the final push to get everything done. My girl is coming over with the camera after she picks the canvas up...

Dead tired but here I go, Ill report back later with some pics.....

over and out,
-Al

Oh yeah wanted to give a litte weather update.

rained and hailed Sunday, Monday 30 mph winds, last night it rained and we were under tarp city welding and grinding...

today its suppose to rain and it the smoke is so thick from the fires it makes it hard to breath:rolleyes:

Ah well nothing worth doing is easy...

oh, a tip, when tack welding on ram assist make sure the tack welds are on there good before ya give it a go. It sounded like gun fire going off.

ulp raisin toast is done, im really outta here now..

Great job Al. Really, really nicely done and I like that it is really individual in it's style and presence.

Thanks beno, wish I could have helped ya out after the roll.

oooeee, We pulled a all nighter last night to get it done, well until 4am when the welder ran out of wire and we called it for the night. I got the rest of the tubing notched and welded in for the rear cage while Jer finished the wrap bar. We are very close to being done I really wish we could have finished last night. But, im at work now (on a coffee IV drip) and we will just have to finish up tonight. Sorry about not having any pictures but we will throw some up before we ship out tomorrow.

-Al

There might be a plus side...the plus side being hopefully ill be to tired to think about how many new parts on the truck un-tested and we are about to jump in the thing for a 12hour drive to Tellico.. New hydro and rebuilt t-case will be resting in the back of my mind...Ill take it slow for the first 100 or so miles.

I'll see you up there, Al. Like you said, take it easy for the first hundred miles or so and you'll be fine.

All that's left for me on the rig is to check fluids and bolt up the new skid plate.

Still need to go grocery shopping and pack everything, though...

I'm driving 4.5 hours south to my parents house tonight and will come back tomorrow with Dad and his superduty and trailer. Saturday morning we'll meet Jerry and crew somewhere along I-75 and haul a$$...

See everybody up there!

Sorry no pics before GSMTR...We are finishing it up now...Plan on rolling outta here around 430ish in the am.
