You are actually putting a dimple into the tubing which makes it seriously weaker. If you take a look at a piece of tubing bent in mandrel bender the dimple where it went around the die is barely noticeable.

Never thought in that .. what do you use to make your cages ?

We skinned an 80 series hatch and put it on and dint care for how it looked. So, we decided just to tube it. It should be done late this weekend. If the weather holds out we should get a good amount of work done this weekend.
