Valve adjustment - '94 with 124Kmiles on the clock. My truck runs perfectly. Why should I check or adjust the valves? I not afraid of wrenching but have alot on my plate. On my '94 I've repacked the birfs, replaced the front wheel bearings and kingpin bearings, replaced the PHH, replaced the rear shocks, (front shocks soon), replaced the radiator, installed Borla a cat back exhaust, installed a slee center diff switch, repaired e brake (thanks Don!)

Always had a cruiser ('78 > '84 > '94) but am brandy new to this forum....

Welcome Rob, checking the valves is just good maintenace, If you have a problem in there by the time you feel it it will have damaged the valve. Most will tell you that you're at a good spot for the valve adjustment as well as a throttle body cleaning. Since they are in the same area and removing the throttle body makes the valve adjustment that much easier.
