Hey folks—trying to source intake/exhaust valves for my ’67 FJ40. Head might be a later F or "F1.5" hybrid. Valves have single long groove stems (not dual-groove). Any idea what these are from or where to find replacements? Really appreciate any leads or wisdom!

Single groove are just an earlier iteration of the two groove. As long as you get the correct keepers to go with them, mixing them on the same head is fine.

It might be logical to infer that the metallurgy improved with the two groove valves, but I have not heard or read of this being the case.

I have lots of good used valves for the F145 and 155 heads; I just don’t offer valves for the F135. It is noteworthy that the F135 valves also came in a single or two groove variant. My shop is in Burbank.

It’s kind of a fluke that I saw your post. I think it should be moved.
