Hey guys.

I have a fully Hydraulic A442 in my JDM 92 HDJ81 and the transmissions lost all pull. I’ve only owned the truck about 4 months, and I should of prioritized checking the fluid condition.

Looks like it was about 15 years past due for a transmission flush and the filter is full of trash. No metal chunks or shavings at all. I’m kinda hoping a proper cleaning will get her back to business.

Should I just go for a flush first and see what happens? Or separate the VB and do a full clean?

Were you really low on transmission fluid? If so, I would clean the magnets, replace the filter, change/flush the fluid, and make sure you have the correct level on the dipstick before I tore into the valve body.
