V8 Emblem help

I am re-installing the V8 emblem on the rear hatch. Does anybody have a trick or a specific way to get the exact location for proper replacement?

I'd just leave it off, but if you want to replace it, measure and place painters tape as a guide.

Here is my '16 for one set of data points.

PS. The dirty state of my car is what you get when you live in a place where it snows, they spray mag chloride on the roads, and drive dirt roads too. I wouldn't win any show and shine awards. :)

Looks like the OP has a 2011, and I posted my 2016. Does anyone have the equivalent for an earlier model to help them? The reference points on my 2016 upper hatch trim don't exist on the 2011.
