I hav a complete FJ40 OEM PTO Winch, it’s in working condition and according to previous owner all oil seal and bearings for the winch and TC adaptor has been replaced.. drive shafts bearings need to be replaced and the U joint coupler connected to the winch is not in best shape,

3 piece driveshaft, missing frame mounts
1 gear PTO is not from a 40

No not from a 40 series. Not because of the extra driveshaft but because of the single direction PTO. 10/82 the 40 series switched the third section. 11/84 was the start of the single direction PTO. 60 series switched at that time as well in most markets. May be some that didn't not but not sure. 11/84 was the start of 70 series. All those were single direction. Of the few 40 series built after 11/84 those with a PTO winch it was still two direction. The worm gear in the winch with a single direction PTO is reversed from two direction.
