2010 LX570 usb not working. The icons on the radio are greyed out. I installed a brand new usb drive part number 86190- 60040 which matches the original usb drive. Did not fix it. Tried a different usb stick still not working. When I plug my phone charger into it i get a message on my phone that says check charger connection. Anyone know if there is a fuse for the usb. I don't see it on the fuse cover under the dash. Thanks

Not sure on the LX but on my 4Runner , the USB jack was wired straight to the head unit. There was no inline fuse.

Ok thanks. Surely someone has had this happen. Would love to get this working again

Are you getting power to it? Have you checked engine bay fuses as well?

I have to check to see if power is getting to it. not sure which pin on connector to check, as far as i know there is no fuse in the engine compartment for this (unless it is grouped in with other stuff

Mine was not working when I got my 2010 LX as well. Based on my research there is no single fuse for the USB/AUX port. Since it is connected to the infotainment directly, if your infotainment is working I presume it is not a blown fuse. However, I took out all the fuses one at a time and checked them manually!
Next, I ripped a USB cable and attached the positive and negative lines to a multi-meter to make sure that the plug gets power from the infotainment. (no surprise, there was no power on the line).

After disassembling the center dash area, turned out my USB/AUX module was unplugged from underneath. You might need to check both your USB module as well as the cable coming from the infotainment with a multi-meter.

There is also a fuse box under the passenger side dash that has some more fuses you may want to check.

Don't know about your model, but can confirm, as mentioned above, the USB port for newer LC models connect directly to the multi-media unit.

Has anyone been inside the dash recently? Asking as a possibility that someone dislodged the connector.

For newer LC models the trouble shooting involves multi-meter resistance testing between the USB port and the media head unit. Assuming (dangerous) it's the same for a 2010LX, if you want to check further you will have to open up the dash and pull out the unit to run the resistance testing.

No one has been in the dash recently. I know the cable plugging into the usb unit is plugged in because I installed a new usb unit. Is there some kind of reset for the head unit? Maybe pulling fuse for head unit and re installing. I almost think it started when I paired a new android cell phone. For some reason I can only get it paired for calls but haven't been able to pair bluetooth for audio. My last phone worked great with audio and calls via bluetooth. Not sure if there is a connection between trying to set up phone and usb/aux being greyed out

FWIW, I could never get an android device to play music via USB. Apparently it is Apple only.

My last android played through bluetooth. Never tried through usb. I have a usb stick with a ton of music files that I use through the usb

Hopefully this isn't the case, but I had a piece of foil gum wrapper in my backpack get into the end of a USB cable once. When I plugged it into the laptop it arced and took out the USB controller.

Ouch!

If this means anything I plugged a cable in the aux port of the usb module and the previously greyed out indicator for aux became lit up (talking about the audio screen on the display). Strange that the USB still doesn't work and is greyed out. Hmmm?

Anyone know if there is a way to reset the radio? Will disconnect the battery do it or pull a fuse? Want to see if that makes the usb work.

"System Check Mode" might be helpful. Here is how to enter this mode:

Method 1
(1) Start the engine.
(2) While pressing and holding the "INFO PHONE" switch, operate the light control switch: off → Turn on → Turn off → Turn on → Turn off → Turn on → Turn off.
(3) Diagnostic mode starts and the "Service Menu" screen will be displayed.

Method 2
(1) Start the engine.
(2) Press the "DISP" switch.
(3) From the display quality adjustment screen, touch the upper and lower left corners of the screen in the following: Upper left → Lower left → Upper left → Lower left → Upper left → Lower left.
(4) Diagnostic mode starts and the "System Check Mode" screen will be displayed. Service inspection starts automatically and the result will be displayed.

Did the test heres what I found. I cleared the codes and did a system recheck and it says usb ok. Still doesn't work though
