:D That Baja driving was nuts I'll admit, I have never driven that fast offroad for that long, in real Baja-ish dust, and glaring sun...oh yeah we're professional racers!! :D My cooler actually hit my ceiling a few times. :D Luckily all the tools were strapped down, man that was fun! :D

And whoever thought Robbie was a mild mannored guy who doesn't drive fast, holy crap would they be wrong. Wow, I couldn't even come close to catching him! :D

Thanks all for letting me be a "car slut" and allowing me to ride in your awesome rides. You guys know how to show a flat lander a great time. I'd do it again.

I didn't know an 80 could run the "chute" Action Jackson is a very appropriate name for that fella! I need to ride shotgun in that vehicle next time.

A big thanks to MBrodis for letting me crash at his place and feeding us breakfast. That dude can make some mean potatos

Robbie, I'll be your Rally style driving co-pilot any time; better than a ride at Disneyland, I'd say  Didn't know them Swampers can still hold a bead at 15psi while doing a four wheel drift  Thanks for the tech chat.

Kumar's ride on 37" handles very nicely on the hwy. Them tires are pretty quiet, much to my surprise. A nice vehicle indeed. The guy on the other hand, needs lots of work though :D

Now my head is full of junk like J springs, L shocks, spacers, tires, front manual hubs, notching the front radius arm hole, Amsoil fluids, rear trailing arm fortification, etc, etc...you guys are killing me :flipoff2:

I'll post up some pics on my Yahoo page this week and notify everyone on this thread.

Later,

Ali

Here's a few pics the wife took.

Seeing the 80 go through the Chutes without body damage, that is without any new body damage, was cool. :bounce:

I promise to be quicker with the fire extinguisher next time Lexi decides to get some attention. :D

Needless to say, this is the pic on the cover of my album. Based on the 'tude and stance, guess who the dad is :D

I had a great time, It was fun to place names to faces and wheel with new folks. It is always fun to wheel with Action. Your truck is coming along very nicly. cutting down trees or opening a trail is always fun, gets the pioneer going inside. You now the person in us all that wants to get out and explore(why else do we have these rigs).
Going fast down dirt roads has been a passion since I was a kid learing to drive in Alaska. We had this old 2 by chevy truck with a 283. man could that thing haul butt on a dirt road, loads of fun. one of the fun things in moab is crusing the dirt roads coming out some of the places at break neck speed. Yea these trucks can do a lot. later robbie with a smile on his face

Who is up for a 4x4 run up to Kelly Flats and Bald Mountain on Sat 6th Nov.
Expect to see snow on the Bald Mth side and we'll see how far we wanna go.

Only looking for long-wheel-base trucks so 80s and 60s only.
It will be a long day so want to keep the pace moving pretty quick.
As such having other 'types' of trucks just seems to slow us down (thats not to say we don't get 80s stuck in ruts (see Mark H. I didn't mention u !)

Will post on 80scool as well

Also anyone thats interested in hoping in and not running their rig (like newly acquired LX's) give us a shout
