Are there any online resources or in person clinics on how to maximize the potential of the current Nav and voice controls?

I have owned my LC200 since October 2007 and is number 263 that arrived in the US. I have the nav overide, but still feel as though there is a great more utilization of the nav and voice contols that I have not discovered. The nav manual is twice as large as the owners and is proving cumbersome. Any help would be appreciated.

Btw, are there any new updates to the current nav?

hell, I'm still trying to figure out how to blow all my addresses and phone #s from my blackberry over to the nav system via blue tooth. hair puller, needless to say....

Funny you mention this...about the only thing I do is hit DISP, then turn the screen off. In hindsight, I should've bought the poverty pack, then I wouldn't have a $100,000 truck.

As I always do, I do declare an interest in this post, as I am an Authorised Dealer for Vais Technology.

Vais have recently launched their all new product called the MediaLinq Plus (ML+). This product adds massive a/v functionality to the factory nav unit, all plug and play. Take a look here: Video,Audio Information Solutions for Toyota and Lexus (iPod, USB, MP3, XM/Sirius SAT Radio, Video integration)

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via this forum.

ML+

VAIS said the ML+ does not fit the LC yet, I have seen you post this reccomendation for VAIS several times for the 200 series,
please advise....

It was my mistake, initially I was under the impression it was developed to suit the 5th gen nav units in our LC200's. Unfortunately Vais have not added this to their portfolio yet BUT....

Towards the end of this year the ML+ should be launched for the LC200 :)

Blackberry? Took me a while but go to manage connections >b-tooth options> click on "HANDS FREE" and select "transfer contacts."

this has been topic before, but any recemt information for Iphone bluetooth download? I got my blackberry to transfer but not Iphone and from my investigation, Iphone will not transfer via bluetooth. I'm not going to manually plug in a thousand phone numbers.

also, has anyone ever purchased a Nav. upgrade cd? If so, how many times can you use it? Could I download to my LC200 and my wifes LC100 using same cd? Any idea on cost? There have been many new subdivisions in cities since 2006.

I might be wrong but I don't think you actually download the maps from the DVD. The DVD has to be inserted into the NAV disc slot in the glovebox and must stay there.

Correct...

Thanks for the info. Guess that means two upgrade DVD's one for 200 and one for 100 if I want to spend the dough.
