I just got off the phone with Iron Pig, and they have a 105 with no body that they are waiting to swap out for someone. If i could afford it, i would have taken them up on their offer. And yes, it has a diesel and standard transmission. If you are looking to build a bad ass 100, give them a ring.

they said its good to go. only has 100 miles on it. I called to price some parts, and they called back with that. Thats just cruel. I am sitting here trying to figure out ways to explain this to my wife in any reasonable terms.

i wonder what you could get for the 100 drive train and chassis?

How much they want for it?

i am not sure. I did not get a quote for just the drive train and chassis, just a quick ball park figure on the whole project.

i am sure. theirs is from a DOD vehicle that rolled and had the body destroyed. Also, it is diesel and standard tranny is already with it.

i cant believe that 12 year old frame is 10 grand though.. .

Not sure what his price point is on that, but unless it's really complete, it would seem like you could just buy an 80 chassis for next to nothing...complete with locking axles. Then do a motor swap to put your v8 back in. :) Easy as pie. lol As I understand it, the only difference in 80 and 105 frames is one extra crossbrace and just different body mounts, which could probably be modified from the 100 frame.

Yeah, I spoke with Cam about it this afternoon as well. Fantastic opportunity to build a project on a frame with a Toyota tubodiesel and 5 speed with only 100 miles on it.

i thought i said that a while back. but yes. amazing opportunity. Someone is going to end up with an amazing rig. Good lord i would love to have a solid axle, turbo diesel LX. I cant wait to see this build thread.

is this supposed to be a completely bolt-on no-mod deal with a US 100 body?
