I would like to join you guys John! I need to stretch the 80's legs. :steer:

Lydia will come also; if Sarah will be with you. She thinks it will be a "man" thing if not. I still might bring her along anyway. The trees should be pretty colorful. I'll see you at the Outpost at 10:30!

Had a great, leisurely time today. Wolf Den, Falls Dam, Dickey Bell, RML, Dutch John, Slab Pile. Saw Mill maybe? No damage to anybody that I know of. Picked up a lot of trash between the 3 trucks - it's nice to have a passenger in every truck for that.

The only hold up was the schmo on Slab Pile in the Honda Pilot with a flat tire and, of course, no spare lowering tool or air pump. A 9.5mm socket might have fit the lowering rod but nothing normal did. I played good samaritan and pumped it up then plugged the giant, ragged hole in the tread to get him on his way. It was kinda sad to see such a new Michelin P235 bite the dust - ha!:D

I don't have any good pics, as usual, and none transferred to the laptop yet, so I'll just put this up for now...

Beautiful day Sunday in the URE's!

Thanks John Vee for organizing this run. We definitely left it cleaner than when we arrived; as the pic below shows the 6 bags of garbage that was collected. Credit goes to Sean, Lydia and Sarah for the most collected but John, Eric and I did our fair share. ;) We made sure Dutch John was spotless and the other trails look really nice. We rode and cleaned from 11:00 to 5:00, with a lunch break at the base of Dickey Bell. Please report to Terry for us Darin!

I did develop a squeal in the engine after climbing Dickey Bell. Can't pinpoint where it's coming from but happens when I was winding the engine out in low gears. I was thinking a bad pulley or bearing but Sean suggested a vacuum leak. Any ideas?

Steering power pump ? Low in oil ?

Steering power pump ? Low in oil ?

Neither on both Rafael. New pump installed 2 years ago and I checked fluids before ride. I'll check again tomorrow but no visible leaks. Something is singing at high rpms though. I drove it today and still heard it. Gauges all read normal too.

PM coming Darin.
