Somebody remember to bring a strap and strong D shackles to pull clint out of the mud hole :flipoff2:

I am still working on the wife. She wants to go flying instead. She is worried that we will slow ya'll down and break something.

As Greg said, we don't leave folks behind and will make sure everyone can make it through. For most of us the goal is to have fun without breaking, denting, or even scratching anything. Most of the trails can be run with a stock 4x4 and a little spotting. If you don't want to run a particular trail, you can park and ride along with someone. There should be some empty seats available in a couple of the trucks.

I'm still planning to run the easy and moderate trails: Wolfden (89), Slab Pile (89A), Sawmill (92A), part of Rocky Mtn Loop (92), and maybe Dickey Bell (96A) if we have time.

I never thought for a second we'd be left behind....ever. I think the apprehension stems from old wounds from other clubs. Since then we've been more careful choosing who and where when it comes to group outings. We tend to study groups before jumping in with both feet. I think that is a big part about why I am here. In reality she knows we will have fun if we go but I think her main focus right now is feeding me today. ;) I think after we eat I will be able to address the question with out having her change the subject really fast.

Edit: I'm in. See ya tomorrow.

Are you kidding me. While 4x4 ing this afternoon down the road I pulled back onto the road. I gunned it and heard a click then a slight smell of something. Drove and it went away 5 miles down the road go to pull off the road again on another trail and the steam starts rolling out the hood. Pull over as the heat goes thru the roof and find a broken fan blade. Pull myself home with my truck and Al behind me in the 80. Start it up and notice a sound...90 percent sure that small part of the fan blade that broke off slammed itself into the if not brand new aluminum radiator that is in my 80. Yet could not see it as I think it is on the very bottom near the shroud. YAY..

If I come tomorrow I might just bring my truck and ride along.....only becuase I have Gregs springs. We will see. If I'm not at the Outpost don't wait up for me.

Looks like we should have a good group for tomorrow. Plus, I will have one or two neighbors along including a 6 wheel Pinzgauer.

See everyone either at 7:00 at Mobil or 8:30 at the Outpost.

Jason, hope you can make it, if not I understand.

Minus the fun part. I will be there in my F-250. Who knows might even take it on some trails if I get a hair up my arse. More than likley just hop in with someone though.

Insert white 250 here

Ohh how funny that is. I'm glad I don't get as irate at I use to. I guess I've calmed down with Age. Did I mention the GPS fell down in my F250 earlier in the day and put a whole in my near perfect dash (Grrrr).

I had a great time out there again today. I've officially rode on the trail shotgun now more times than I've driven

Ohh well....Going to get this up and running and see you all next Saturday with my 80 ready to go. Should have brought my Camera...fun seeing that Pinzgauer try to get up some of that. I really would have though it would have had lower reductions for gears in those portals and he needs to step up the tire size a bit more. Great rig. Thank you for the ride Joe and Brett.

Thanks for having us. Julie and I really had a great time and hope to return soon. Again, sorry we were late. :whoops:

Since this was my first trip I can't relate to prior experience but it sure did seem slippery out there today. The FJC performed well beyond my expectations. Those that saw my driving please offer up any advice you have. I'm always open to suggestions on how to better my driving. Next time I will air down as I was sliding off a lot of rocks. At least it made for a fun ride.

Here are some of my highlights.

Nice pics Bill, thanks for sharing.

Yes, airing down is an important aspect, particularly when its wet and rocky. It helps with traction as protecting your wheels since the tire spreads out when at a lower PSI. Glad you guys had a good time, sorry I missed it...

Thanks for the pics Bill...

You did a great job from my perspective...I should have followed you better and maybe I would have missed that tree!

Great to see everyone and thanks to Clint for setting it up.

Sorry you couldn't make it Jerry.

Had a great time today, I'm glad my work schedule allowed me to make a URE run. Great to see some of you again, and meet some new folks. Sorry I had to bail early, the woman had jobs for me;p

Clint, thanks for organizing this. It was great to get the 80 out.

Keeping an eye on the flock
