I have no affiliate with URD (and mods please delete if this violates any rules).

Saw that URD added some new goodies for our beloved GX470s. Looks like the aftermarket is taking note finally! There is a long thread on the supercharger kit on the 4runner forum but no actual feedback from those who installed.

Supercharger Kit - $5785:
Underdog Racing Development

Y-Pipe - $489
Underdog Racing Development

3" Exhaust - $589

Wow a 100/100 gain + gears would make these things a rocket!

I'm curious what long-term reliability is like - that's a lot more power to put through the transmission.

People really need to be aware of the offerings and purchase if possible. If not, companies will not continue to make new stuff for us!

I have been looking for exhaust solutions in the form of res delete and Flowmaster muffler swap, but URD is tempting too.

Ha sure thing. Buy a supercharger and let me know how it is and I'll put it on the list.

guess i would do the "Y" pipe and cat back if i need to replace the exhaust for some reason.

right now I don't see the reason to add 100/100

I'd likely fail emissions with that setup in NJ (visual for cats). :(

Hoping someone here goes with the SC and shares results, definitely seems like a comprehensive kit (injectors, intercooler, fuel pump/filter, etc.). Made my bucket list but I'm done firing the money cannon at this GX for a bit....

A few tidbits from their website I thought were interesting:
  • Maynot fit trucks with KDSS swaybar disconnect system (they invented the word 'maynot' :))
  • Peak gain was 100 RWHP and 59 RWTQ
  • Max gain was 107 RWHP and 101 RWTQ
I've never seen peak and max gains quoted separately before.

Thanks for sharing this....

Peak and max gains are fairly common to cite - just listing peak gains doesn't tell the whole story (i.e. the power curve is dramatically different than stock).

Regarding fitting KDSS...I happen to have years of experience with forced induction vehicles and a KDSS GX. I'd be happy to answer the question, given an adequate subsidy...you know, for science. :D

Ordered the y Pipe . I already have a turbo muffler so should not be loud
Hey, Nik, how is the Y pipe? Are you able to pass emissions with it? I read on some 4Runner forums that people were able to pass since the manifold cats are still there.
