Want a GX with basically everything mechanically sound, and ready to be built into your offroad fun vehicle?
For sale is my 2006 Lexus GX470. Car spent most of its life in Virginia/Maryland, I purchased in late 2023, and have only put 5k mi on since. This has been a secondary car for me. Selling because I am looking to get an older Land Cruiser in the future. (Not interested in trades). This vehicle is essentially ready to be turned into a true GXOR vehicle. Over $7k of work has been done in the past year to stabilize everything for off-road capabilities.
Under the hood I've done: new timing belt, water pump, serp belt, radiator replacement, trans lines, new blower motor, e-brake line replaced, cam seal, crank seal, new power steering pump.
Haven't done a lift kit, because I wanted to square away everything around the suspension first. Things I've done: OEM left/right CV Axle replacements (CVJ Axle swap)/boots, 555 Brand tie rods, wheel bearings replacements, alignment. Ready to go with everything you want to do suspension-wise!
Few aftermarket things added as well (no lift kit). Black Rhino Chamber wheels, JWOffroad rock sliders w/ Rhino bed liner coating, JWOffroad Dash Panel, and TEQ rear diff breather. Steering wheel was replace with another matching OEM steering wheel in better condition. (I have the original steering wheel as well, will come with the vehicle in case you ever want to get it reupholstered). Also replaced front and rear lights with USR smoked lights and new bulbs. Also has KN brand air filter/cabin filter so no need to replace anymore, just clean.
I have everything documented for the new owner. Only noticeable thing is the crack in the front bumper. It was there when I purchased the vehicle, but I didn't care because I planned to change to a steel bumper, like Lil b's fab. No damage behind the bumper crack; I confirmed when I removed the whole front end to change the headlights. No lights on the dash besides tire pressure; but thats due to a cold winter and being lazy about adding air.
Overall the vehicle is in pretty good condition, being 19 years old. Has been a pleasure to drive. The surface rust in the photos never scared me; it can easily be buffed and sealed with woolwax or other underbody coatings. There is no pitting or actual frame damage from rust, but being in the Northeast, I'd consider this pretty clean compared to what's out there. I've also never taken it truly off-road; only down some dirt trails to go fishing.
Asking $11k. Please let me know if you have any questions!
