It's up! Go to UpstateCruisers.com and check it out. It isn't perfect yet, but perfection being the enemy of progress, it is now available for anyone interested.
You can now tell the Cruiser driver you meet in a parking lot how to get involved a lot easier than explaining I, H, the letter 8, etc...
Mud is still the club's online home though, so the new site is essentially a flyer to let prospective members know we are alive and kicking, and then direct them here. We are exploring options for member showcases, sponsors, social media, and a few other options, but a good bit of that can already be found here.
One difference you will notice is the needed membership dues increase. It was decided last year to increase the amount after many years of being too low, and that change was planned to coincide with this communications tool. Well it got delayed but is there now. Don't worry if you were about to renew and feel like a broken birf all of a sudden. Any membership that expires in 2018 can be renewed for the previous rate. PPal info@UpstateCruisers.com or see a board member at any event with cash/check to re-up.
There is still some work to be done to the site, so your suggestions are welcome. For now, we wanted to get something out there to make this great group easier to find and build on the next steps that a site can be leveraged for.
Thanks to those that worked to get this off the ground, and everyone in Upstate Cruisers for what you do and what is to come.
