Updating the interior of my Troopie

Before I set out and rebuild my interior does anyone have the floor dimensions and interior plan for a HZJ75 ? I know there are several companies offering finished products but these quickly add up to several thousand euro..


I’m looking for the classic set up of seating on the left with under storage and storage / cooker / fridge on the right …. Any information is much appreciated.

Its a HJ75 from Auz, is the back body not the same as the HZJ ?

Looks like the standard Troopy camper layout that we have down here in the hire Troopies, like in my ex-hire high roof Troopy.

What dimensions do you need?

I have a portable propane cooker like that, but plan to install one in the benchtop beside the sink, as I am often camping in the snow, and don't necessarily want to deal with insects when cooking in the summer, possibly a diesel cooktop like this...

...but might still keep the cooker and gas bottle for when I do want to cook outside.

Thanks Simon for the pictures, maybe I should have been clearer with my question, I have a Trekker (poss ex-rental) pop top HJ75 and the PO installed a VW camper kitchen unit on the rhs of the car, there is a big waste of space - so I plan on rebuilding this area as per you picture, I xas hoping someone already had a floor plan for this.

second problem, I'm importing the car to Belgium, the FOB whom approve this have asked for a floor plan for the rear .....

I'll be keeping the rock n roll bed for now as its handy, but really need to find more storage. You can buy the parts here in Europe but are around €1,500 - €2,000 !!!!

OK quick update, I've been out in the garage with the tape measure, I need to keep the R'n’R bed, if I make it a higher storage system then I can’t sit with the roof down, not a cool option here in Europe.


So I’m going to focus on the VW Cupboard, I have a 45ltr fridge that need incorporating and would like a internal sink, water is supplied from two under car tanks. I have a gas cooker attached to the rear door hot / cold water supply.

Simon; would you be so kind and talk me through how your cupboard is set-up and what works / doesn’t work for you ? I’m in two minds about loosing the window behind the drivers seat and building upto the ceiling ! however might make things rather dark.
