I wonder if there's a 0w-30 cap out there.
Since Toyota doesn't recommend 0W-30 for the 3UR-FE motor, I doubt you will find the cap you're looking for...

I figured that. Sorry I meant the post to be kind of "tongue in cheek".
I guess I'll put some duct tape on the plastic shroud that covers the engine with "0W-30" written on it.
One thing I should mention and that is we fully loaded up our trailer and the LC for our upcoming trip and drove it from its storage location to the scales. I reported earlier I didn't notice any noise reduction of the engine after changing from 0W-20 to 0W-30. That was driving around the block right after the oil change and not towing. Well with the engine working hard towing it was noticeably quieter. Still no significant increase in oil pressure as far as I could tell as I reported earlier.
From the scale:
Truck 7580 lbs
Trailer 5620 lbs
From OBD:
10.6 mpg flat highway S6, ECT
The above is what I got running 0W-20.
So I hope the 0W-30 protects the engine better.
The trial by fire is coming up in Moab, the Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.

During final leak test operations, the oil pan was filled with 5W30 through the fill neck and spun through its test cycles, which took ~30 seconds an engine. Simulated idle, a few rev-ups, a sustained run period at ~3000rpm, back to idle, off. Every component that oil is distributed to in real-world operation was pre-oiled during assembly (also with 5W30 to my knowledge), so nothing was dry when the test ran.”

Anyone knows of a 0w40 or 5w40 cap lol?

All I know is I'm SOL as far as getting a 0W-30 cap.
I’m thinking about buying a new 0w20 one and sanding it down and using my dremel engraving pen and some paint pens to get 0w30 on there…yeah, it maybe a little redneck engineering but I gotta stay true to my roots I guess.All I know is I'm SOL as far as getting a 0W-30 cap.
Also, your scale weights look good and the 0w30 will serve you well. I’m sure you’re in the final throws of pre trip jitters… that was me 2 days ago. They usually go away once you’re clear of town and/or a tank of gas in.

Use your fine point on your dremel after using some sort of stencil/sticker. After you get good depth and lettering clean out all the debris. Once dry, use some of your lady’s favorite nail polish and fill the lettering. A razor blade to clean off the excess once dry will have it pop with whatever wt oil you want. Post pics when you’re done.
EDIT: I don’t know at what temp nail polish becomes liquid again. Maybe check this out. Otherwise consider some sort of enamel liquid paint?

Funny, I order this twice (second time to see if first time was just a mistake) and both times they sent blank caps. No text on the cap and certainly nothing about 5W30. Annoying.

No seriously, have you ever asked a dealer to put in 5w30? They will always default to 0w20 and I have even had them cite the oil cap as gospel. Imagine their dismay when it now says 5w30.
It’s just peace of mind. Anyone who ever changes it will have a guiding hand of wisdom encouraging a proper fill.

I ordered the same cap from dealer - received super ceded part number 12180-28010 (blank/no 5/w30 writing) so promptly returned. Placed order on amazon, again received super ceded part number (I'll be returning as well). I'm not sure the older part number is still available.
