So is an 80 series steering box a truly bolt on option with no modifications needed? What year(s) 80?80 series box has the same hole pattern as the late 60 boxes and has a larger/stronger sector shaft IIRC.
All years 80.
The important thing is it only interchanges with 2nd gen 60 box. 1st gen 60 box has a different mounting bolt pattern.

Does anyone fully rebuild them then? I thought WTOF was a rebuild.. Good to know it's just a reseal.

They did my 82 FJ40 PS box rebuild and I talked to them 6 months ago about the 60 box. ask for Harvey or Blaine(I think)

Now I just need a source for OEM replacement parts...This would be the direction I would go in personally.

Amazingly, this is still available from Toyota..... barely.... I got the last one in the US.
