UC Webmaster Search is on!

After many years of dedicated service to UC as webmaster, Gehn's job has put him in a place where he would like to relinquish this role to someone else.

I can't say enough about how much we owe Gehn for his great work on our web site and the on-line store. He's taken us a looong way. Thanks Gehn... and stay safe!

So, now we are looking for someone in the club that has some skills and desire that would like to help out with managing the site for us.

It's been a pleasure to be UC webmaster over the last 4 years or so (has it really been that long?), but I think it's time I pass the torch. I now split time between Vermont and Afghanistan, so I think it would be more appropriate for a UC local to take over the site. This isn't to say you'll never hear from me again, only that for now I'll have to take up a more passive involvement in the club.

The site platform is WordPress and is all up to date. If there is anyone familiar with WordPress it would make for an easy transition, but of course the new webmaster could do whatever they please.

As the others have said thanks for the hard work! The site looks great!

I've run a couple websites from time to time and have tinkered with wordpress before, I know I have only been with the club a year but I can take care of the site if need be. If Gehn is currently hosting the site I have webspace available and it would be no trouble for me to move site and have the name servers updated and it would not cost me any extra on my hosting plan. But if hosting is all taken care of and happy where it is at I can definitely keep it up to date and running smoothly.

Sounds good to me, but the final decision is up to the club officers. Currently, the domain/hosting is all owned by UC.
