I wanted to throw something out there...

UC really is a great family. We have a bunch of good members who are willing to help others out.

With that being said - I think we all realize that the economy sucks right now. A lot of people are falling on hard times. UC members have skills that can help other UC members out. These range from fixing your vehicle to hauling vehicles to really almost anything. (We are talking help with projects, etc, not bills.)

If you are a UC member and are having a hard time and need help with something that someone in UC might be able to assist with feel free to let me know. Everything can be kept confidential - no worries. Either PM me or many of you have my cell # - give me a ring.

 and Merry Christmas.

I'm a licensed HVAC tech. I always have a jug of freon on me. I can do just about anything related to home air heating and cooling. Even if you just need a second opinion give me a ring or PM me. I'm cheap.

Thanks Marshall. I don't think my professional work would help anyone out any but I don't mind lending a working hand out around a house if you need something - vehicle repairs, house repairs, etc.

I am an environmental consultant and can fill out an application for just about anything that you can think of. Like for instance, a friend of mine had a tree they needed to cut down. I was able to give them enough of a reason to justify it to the city and he got his permit.

I also know a think or two about dogs, and am happy to provide advice.

Opinion's free

But worth what you pay for them.

That said I am a Vet and don't practice anymore as I work for the USDA. But I would be glad to hear your concern about your animals help you understand what your vet is trying to do or help you understand.

Also I am an old fart and have had so many hobbies and interest's I might just supprise you on many areas, garden, radio, airplanes, skydiving, Photography, scuba diving ,long range rifle competition's any way my reason for this post is easy. We are a club of people united by at least one passion our cruisers. But we have other needs too. Post em up via the pathway outlined above and maybe we can be of help to each other in many ways. Great Idea I also if time permits can rake do things to help if someone is down from problems , I like most of the members can't help if we don't know about the need. Again excelent idea for a club thread. Cudos:D

I really think this is an amazing idea Steve. Really, this is awesome and it really makes me happy that I am a part of this club. I think we are all very fortunate to have been able to surround ourselves with such helpful and selfless people who share such a similar interest.

As far as my help, I'm 21 and in college with far less experience than many of you ladies and fellas, but I'm always willing to offer a strong back and weak mind when needed.

My Double Trade...Two Post

I am a licensed Private Investigator and run an outfit in Florence. But I will not tell you how to lie ,cheat, or steal. Find those hidden GPS trackers yourself (I do get those calls).
All joking aside, if I can help I will.

Second Job

Master Gas Fitter
We run natural and LP gas lines, sell, service and install tankless water heaters, fireplaces, etc.

I can help with those issues/questions too.

This is not an advertisement even though it may sound like one.

Well, i have actually been helping a lot of people lately with job transitions from the financial perspective. I have even helped with some salary negotiations oddly enough. Here is a link to a spot light that a third party did on our team here at Smith Barney. I will certainly help a fellow cruiser head regardless of the amount of money we are talking, with strict privacy. We do not charge fees for any of our planning/advice services. Any questions, feel free to shoot me a pm or email scott.b.smith@smithbarney.com

Good luck to anyone in transition....and those not in transition that are watching their retirement savings in horror:mad:

I'm in the same boat as Karl. I offer no skills, except in my job of sales. I'm down with doing manual labor if anyone needs any help. Just let me know.

Thanks
john

I can only offer help with marketing your business and/or graphic design. Also, I can help you translate Spanish/English.

Besides the art of terminating an enemy, the Army also taught me how to analyze and disseminate intelligence.

...how to analyze and disseminate intelligence.

Well, that won't be of any good around here!;p

Seriously, my expertise is almost the same as the Cuban's [Marketing/Communications is my title], but not as many years of experience on my resume (ahem, old fart). I'll help where I can.

Financial analysis, business consulting and valuation, anything to do with sales operations/comp plans/sales force management and design. I work a spreadsheet pretty well.

Always willing to help where I can...

I work AND volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. If you have anything to do with the BSA, I'm your guy.

I get paid for:
National Executive Staff, Supply Group (I can get you all the scout stuff you need)

I pay for:
Venture Crew 422, Advancement Chair
York District: Unit Commissioner, District Advancement Committee
Palmetto Council Advancement Committee, Camping Committee (climbing)
Blue Ridge Council Commissioner Staff and Wood Badge Staff SR-992

Other than that, if you can give directions I can usually follow them. Let me know if you need anything.

We have a President who has a big heart to think of others! I have always been a "Jack of all trades" and unfortunately a "master of none." But I offer an ear, sometimes perceptive questions and occasionally good advice. No good at mechanics but can paint (not up 40 feet anymore), do rough carpenter work, plumb, wire (easy stuff), and lead with my lips when together on projects with friends. Call me and I'll be there.

See you at the Gulches.

Not sure what to offer, I too have held a few jobs, but know how to do MANY tasks.

drive a tractor/bobcat/grading
carpentry, rough, and finish work, (we have built 4 apartments and the restaurant)
weld, blacksmith, fabricate and design metal objects
Chainsawing/limbing and dropping trees--- but I am not one of those "drop it between those matchsticks guys" so you dont want me to cut a tree leaning over your house, but I have cut plenty in fields
I was once a decoy for a french ring club, and have done a little with schutzhund
have trained a few mules, donkeys and horses, but no serious breaking
I am not licensed, but have done plenty of plumbing and electrical
I have poured concrete pads
hung a few miles of fencing

the list goes on and on, but if you need anything specific dont be afraid to ask, I wont BS my way thru the job if I dont know I will just say so, but would be happy to help if I can

oh yea, I can fish pretty good too, so if you have a lake and need some fish caught, let me know!!

It didn't even cross my mind but if you need a rug for your house give me a call. I'll sell to friends and family. Also if you know someone who is a decorator tell them to come see me. I'm opening up a showroom at the warehouse.

We have one of a kinds, hand knotted, tuffted and machine made rugs. Just about everything you could think of including a huge stair and hallway runner selection. I'm about half of what you can get it for in a retail store.

Send me a PM if your interested. We can ship anywhere in the US.
