I placed the order today with Wanda. 25 hats total on this first batch.

10 black with red trim
5 red with black trim
5 khaki
5 white

Delivery date is set for the monthly meeting at Davids.

We are looking at around $20-22 a hat which includes a little profit for the club.

Wanda and I also discussed the sew in type patches. Ken she said she hadone that had about half as many stitches as the original (original 3inch had 19,000 stiches) for about half the price. What do you think? She said she would make a couple for us to look at.

Shirts. I'm still up in the air about shirts but I would like to have a few made and then just sell from them. I should have that ordered and in by the BBQ.

Small embroidery for hats

Correct on the half size patch. It is 2" diameter which is good and bad. It looks proportional on the cap, but not as visible from 30 feet.

I agree w/ Steve regarding the Elwood Chapter's promotional garments. They are definitely winning the "Promo" game,

My vote is for BOLD movement forward, both in promotional garments and promotional activities with other chapters. The dues increase is both timely and wise IMHO.

Alan, could you bring my hats for HercDriver Saturday?

Definently want Wanda to embroider those big-head hats.

See you Saturday!

Update on hats. Talked to Wanda today. Ken has the hats in hand and will have them at the meeting tomorrow.

I will take pictures of them and get them up on the website.

Probably what we will do is have Gehn add a paypal button on the website for the hats. Then I will ship them out or hand deliver them at meetings.

We have 25hats in this batch. They will be going for $20 + shipping. So bring some money to the meeting if you want a few.

Also we will pick out shirts tomorrow that we will be doing as well as a few items. These will also be on the website but will be made to order.

a suggestion for the shirts...if i may

one of the best things about the white trash shirts is that they have a very simple and extremely recognizable "logo", the sheriff's badge thing. i mean, they probably say something inside the logo (i've never seen one upclose), but i can tell a white trash guy in the pic threads on here immediately b/c he's either got a drab green shirt with the star on it, or the hood of his cruiser has that star on it

i think that if you want to have a shirt that is recognizable for UC, we need to adopt something along the same lines...we can still have our traditional logo/sticker stuff, but maybe another logo design that isn't necessarily a picture of a land cruiser...

i've got a couple of ideas, none of them are all that great, and maybe all of this is heresy, ha ha

maybe a skull and crossed birfields? i'm sure that this has to have been done by some other club at some point...

i'm sure y'all can come up with some cool ideas at the meeting.

Thanks Malphrus for putting the Emblem of the Great Texas Republic in it's proper place.....'the sheriffs badge thing'.

The black hats are bad to the bone with the UC emblem.
We may require an auction on them.
