U Joint operating angle

Does anyone know the operating angle of our U-joints? How about the maximum angle? Thanks

max, somewhere in the 25 degree range,

i believe that can go farther, but you will increase the wear exponentially

The u-joint will operate far past the angle that the yokes will allow. The yokes on a 60
limit you to about 25~27 degrees where as the front yoke of an 80 series allows around 45 degrees

Thanks for the info. I have been reading the drive line articles on Pirate trying to track down a vibration issue. It appears to be more complex that I first thought.

IIRC stock 60 series DS came with joints designed to work at 15°
